Overnight Oats

Overnight Oats in the morning, with the oats and chopped pears mixed together. The background is a plant.Overnight oats (in the morning)

Homemade overnight oatmeal, topped with fruit.

1. In an airtight container, add ½ cup rolled oats and ½ cup almond milk. Stir well.
2. Mix in 2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp nutmeg, and 2 tsp honey. Stir well, ensuring all of the oats are coated.

Optional: top with chopped fruit (in this picture, I topped with chopped pears).

In the morning, mix and enjoy!

Overnight Oats from the night before, when the almond milk has not been absorbed by the oats yet. There is a bed of chopped pears on top. Picture taken on a kitchen countertop.Overnight Oats (from the night before)

I used steel cut oats, but rolled oats are also a great option! While steel cut oats are healthier, rolled oats are more fun to eat because rolled oats are less chewy and grainy.
